Bypass mode!

Thanks!

I just did the same thing. Just take that whole thing out and replace with a 1” barb. Nothing to it.

I’m using 3/4” to feed my tank and 3/4” from the house to the reel so I’m not sure about the difference between the 5/8” and 1” for feeding your tank.

And what do you mean your running the same 1” from the 3/8 from reel to pw? You lost me on that one.

Hey, yea I was sent the brass barb with the buffer/bypass kit but had seen other pw with just that hole plugged… so wanted to make sure doing the correct thing before I do it…lol

sorry for confusing you… my pressure washer whip hose from the reel to the pressure washer - going to slip it through leftover 1" crushproof to give it extra protection from damage and wear… it will run across the open spot on the trailer where my sc and other items will be, so just going to give it some protection.

Yea, once you remove that inlet filter, the barb will come off with it so it won’t be anything left to plug.

And I’m following you now! I was confused there for a sec!

yea, I have seen some people who are plugging the hole, not replacing the whole part, so just trying to sort out if one way was better than the other for some reason.

I may be wrong, but I think I remember seeing where you got the kit from PWP. If so you should have that blue top filter, so you don’t need that small filter on the inlet of the pump. Just my 2 cents. I have the same set up and have a filter between my reel and my tank, and a filter between the tank and pump. And you should get better flow with taking that inlet filter off and just running your barb.

Yes, it came from PWP. I had removed the filter, just wasn’t sure if ther was some reason to change or not change the whole unit… will swap it out this weekend.

Have a great one!
