Buyer beware (fuel cell)

Don’t waist your money on this one, didn’t even last 2 months. Tank got a bad leak on one of the bottom corners. Just spent the last 3 hours driving to summit and replacing it. Lost half a days work too. Buyer beware.

Man, when I go to Summit, which there’s one just an hour from me, I lose way more than a day’s worth of work lol! Like a kid in a candy store in there. Probably a real good thing that I sold off all my old project trucks and cars. Sucks about the tank. Probably a bad weld somewhere. I’ve been considering mounting a 20-30 gallon tank under my Sprinter and pulling both machines off of it myself.

If you’ve still got it, just let it air out good and have someone tig weld it, then pressure test it with air.

I really hope you don’t take this the wrong way; I’m still new here and barely feel comfortable posting. But everything about that Amazon picture screams Photoshop scam to me! The faked color gradient, faked mirror image of the inlet/outlet, faked dark outline at the bottom… Do you have a real picture of the actual product for comparison?

Amazon is very buyer friendly. You might be surprised

I bought a high dollar Chapin sprayer from there once, it went bad after 4 months. They overnighted a new one.

Hahahahaha. Send it to me man. Ill paypal you the shipping cost.

Also like @SurfaceTherapy said. Amazon is great on returns. It was probably a third party seller. Contact the seller if they dont respond call amazon. Amazon will force them to contact you and settle the dispute. I went through this with a recurve bow i bought once with a crack in the riser.

Damn shame, that should of lasted 10 + years if they would build stuff like they used to. Everything is throw away now…

If it’s still in the can when I get home tonight I will @Grizz

I got this tank from a recommendation by @Steve. Im in the middle of my build so i havent had a chance to use it yet but its definitely a solid design and a great space saver too because of the shape. The outlet is on the bottom so all i did was cut a a piece of 2x4 and stack it 2 blocks high with a little shutoff valve incase i ever need to change a hose or replace the filter, etc.
