Business Credit Card Options/Opinions

Any recommendations for a biz credit card thats good on travel points for gas, and biz expenses etc?

What do you guys use? Heard Chase Ink is good, or Amex Gold?

Amex sucks, that’s all I have to contribute. Even Costco realized that.

My wife suggested Nerdwallet if you want to compare cards.

Go to your favorite local supplier, ask what they accept and what they prefer to run. When I worked in retail previously, we (as the store) were charged more to process certain cards such as American Express or even some of the specialty rewards cards that the customers would pay with.

We like Chase Ink Business….

Credit union only. Nobody even comes close to their rates. Haven’t looked into any of the big name business cards but I’d be very surprised if they were even within five points of the credit union.

Hard to beat a check. I don’t accept credit cards

My fault, Im asking which credit card to apply for to get the best points from, from gas stations, supplies etc to use towards travel points, or the best cash back option.

Spark Business Card through Capital One is what I use.
1.5% cash back.
There is an annual fee. I think they waive it the first year.

Ditto on Spark

we’ll look into spark too

Go to slickdeals, click on credit cards, go to their forum, go to finance. Tons of info there.

Go to the points guy and read there. https://thepointsguy.com/credit-cards/best/

I used to play the signup game multiple times and made some loot that way, but I got tired of it. I’ve closed lots of cards. I just go with strongest cashback now, not rebates or gas points, straight cash works. 4-5 percent can be had, just make sure you get you local stuff registered with them. My big gas station chain (mulitple states) wasn’t listed with them. I called and now I get 4-5 percent cashback gas, and I use the loyalty card at the pump for .03 off a gallon. If only I could get cashback at sams club, but they won’t do it there. That is the cheapest gas by far in my general area always 10-20 cents a gallon cheaper.

The cheapest way to get gas is to have the guys fill up in the afternoons on the way back to the shop. They’ll fill up the truck and hurry to get home. In the morning they’ll be in the store getting coffee, snacks etc. You’ll save 15 minutes of payroll per person.

Yep, we just implemented that change for this year as well. I don’t think it was a large drain (I looked into it on the GPS trackers last spring), but our preferred fueling spot is a single entry/exit joint where every service company around seems to pile in at 8am every morning, so we’ll avoid them, and gain the side benefit of guys wanting to get home, lol.
