Hey all new here looking for any ideas. Burner is driving me nuts. I’ve gone through everything in attempts to get this thing to work.
Here’s where we are at.
New pressure switch
New fuel solioid
New fuel solenoid wiring and clip
Check, rechecked, and rechecked wiring diagram 500 times.
When I hit the switch fan turns on igniters are sparking fuel pump is pumping. Will not get fuel from the solenoid to the injector. I’ve put a new solenoid on and two spare/older ones to check with no luck.
I have no idea why we’re not getting fuel past the solenoid. Everything’s hooked up correctly.
Sounds like the solenoid is getting voltage but the coil isn’t opening Two quick checks that usually solve 90% of these no fuel past solenoid issue
Put 12V directly to the solenoid terminals with the fuel line cracked at the nozzle if it suddenly sprays your wiring ground controller is the problem not the valve. Pull the coil off the valve body and swap it onto one of your known-good spare valves if fuel flows the coil is fine and the valve body itself is stuck carboned shut ports are super common on diesel burners. Soak the valve body overnight in diesel or solvent and blow out with air.
Most guys chase their tail for days on these and it ends up being a $12 valve body that’s varnished shut, not the coil or wiring. Try those two tests and report back – bet it fires right up after.
I just tried the two mentioned methods. Fuel pump is doing good I got 120 psi currently and cranked it up to to 150 just to check. Back down to 120 again.
Hot wired the solenoid no change.
Cleaned the ports no change.
Mixed and matched all parts I had laying around to see if I could get something to work no luck. Might just go ahead and buy a whole new solenoid and go from there.
