Burner will not ignite!

I have tried everything with this hot water unit I’m working on. I’ve been working with pw’s for the last year but this has me stumped. The diesel burner I’m using is getting a great white constant spark, great mist on the fuel incoming and every type of air changes have been made but I cannot get it to ignite and make a flame… We did have one guy spray some starting fluid in there and it kicked on for a few seconds but that’s all we have got. Any ideas?

What’s the electrode alignment like? What burner is it? I have manuals to send you if you need them.

The diodes are 1/4" apart. But I’m not sure on the designed distances for it. I have switched them out with our other washer that works fine and it doesn’t work in it so it has me baffled.

Here’s what they should be set at…

They are set to those specs just checked them still nothing.

Make sure you have a gun or something connected to the high pressure hose. Couldn’t get mine to fire one time because of it…

I have the hose connected and I also have the pressure valve by passed so as soon as I turn it on it sprays diesel and throws a spark. Just no flames

The burner gun isn’t set too deeply in the tube, allowing the electrodes to ground out on the flame cone, is it? No cracks in the insulators?

No cracks on the insulater. It’s not grounding out. I’m watching a perfect spark jump across in a constant stream with the many different diesel fuels we have tried.
I am getting a spark.
The fuel is spraying just fine Into it.
The diesel is clean no water or anything.
I have the correct measurements on the igniter and still nothing lol.
I’m so lost haha

Not really sure but what about fuel pressure being too high? Spark weak?

Ive seen this happen with diesel tube style space heaters. We were getting spark but there was a short in the electrical and the spark was too weak. Sat there watching fuel spray right past it.

Hmmm that could be the issue.
I’ll check and see what I can find out

And no the pressure has been adjusted from 110 - 160
