So I just had my pressure pro vertical burner have a short in the on/off switch, which caused the control box to burn up the internals…. Long story short..( on/off switch arched when I turned it on, switch was very hard to switch).. I’m fixing it myself because I’m pretty tech savvy and great with wiring.
Here’s what I got:
Honda gx690 8gpm belt drive pressure pro vertical hotbox. The pressure washer and burner are both wired to one battery up in front of the trailer and my lights, remote downstream are on a separate battery, NOCO trickle charger connected to both batteries.
The washer and burner both have 6ga wiring ran from each up to the battery in the front.
I was told to have an inline 30 amp fuse for the burner. Which ran fine for a year without one, and no one said to install one when I bought the burner. The factory control box had a GP thermostat in it, with a 50amp on off switch. I was told to get a 30amp switch, (which I got ) and the same thermostat. On the bag it says GP 10538B , on the back of the burnt stat it says ( cotherm), but had a GP degree knob in front. I just want to make sure everything will work before hooking it back up the way it was. Don’t wanna over shoot voltage or amps through these components.
the wires coming into the box from battery have 3 wires ( 1 unused green, black, white) the black and white are going to + - of battery. from the control box to the Beckett has same wires but all are used.
Both stats the burnt and new one have 3 poles. the new switch has 3 poles. The burnt switch had 2 poles. (New switch has a light to show if on or off)
Does anyone have an easy wiring diagram or how I should hook this back up? I’ll attach photos
