Bulkhead on bottom of tank?

so i haven’t heard of anybody doing this but i thought it was a pretty good idea, i ended up installing the supply bulkhead under the tank. any thoughts on this?

You’re gonna hate life if you have a leak and a full tank simultaneously. Also, the trash that builds up at the bottom of the tank is going to clog your filter much quicker.

Not trying to be critical…it’s just that I had the exact same idea, then thought “why has no one done this before?”…then thought “ok, what are the downsides?”

I had those same two thoughts so I put a ball valve coming straight out of the bulk head. So I feel the chances of a leak at the bulk head aren’t to high. I never take the lid off of the tank. It has a pop valve on the top that I put a fine mesh over about a 1/4" hole no restriction and I have 2 filters on the supply line and one filter going to the pressure washer. I haven’t ever had “junk” in the bottom. The only time I get stuff in the bottoms is when I leave the cap off and when that happens I just rinse out the tank through the top and out the dump valve

Thank you,
