Setting my buisness up this year and trying to do things buy the book…I know every state is different but you can spend a small fortune buying a license for every city that requires one …how many do you guys carry…I may have to really narrow my planned target area down …any insight would be appreciated
Business licenses were done away with in NC last year but I have about 40 on file for other cities along the East Coast. Some are as simple as $25 a year. Some are based on a percentage of the revenue you generate in their city. Some make you pay an estimated tax. Nightmare. SC police enforce rigorously and will come up and ask to see your license in the smaller towns.
