Bucket test check valve 4gpm

Normally i use a 2.1 hi draw that pulls 10:1.
Check valve on same injector 6:1 ! I normally ran 80/20 or so batch mixing sh to water im start running 50/50 should stil put me at close to .9.
Well see how it performs out and about but it def pulls !
On other note ive had no problems with regular injectors sticking but i like to try things out just so i can know for myself how a particular thing works lol

Next time you order injectors, try a 1.8 on that 4. It’ll pull about the same as the check valve one. I got one to try on my 4 about a month ago and was amazed. Pretty amazing on the 8gpm too. Liked it so much ordered 2 more of them.

Yeah my dumb self ordered 2 2.1s when i ordered check valve knowing i wanted to try a 1.8 , which would have been a cost effective first choice but eh . Yeah im going to pick up a 18" hammerhead from panhandle tomorrow morning already paid for i might just pick up a 1.8.

When i first posted on here my 20" simpson SC didnt spin after first use , ive taken apart sprayed silicone in bearing bam working…next job stuck rinse repeat i gave up on it so got a new greasable GP in hopes i dont gotta deal with that anymore. Id love to put SC on and it spin when i need it

It’s good you’re experimenting. that’s how you learn.

I started with 4gpm using the 1.8 injectors. It was drinking my 5 gallon bucket so fast I switched to a 2.1. It definitely pulls soap well & I noticed a little better flow. This little ball valve was a game changer for me. I only DS straight SH nowadays. You can adjust the mix as you go with the twist of a knob. Hit the brick steps wide open, close it 70% for the vinyl siding, then close it all the way & rinse with soap tips. You won’t have to refill the soap nearly as often.

Curious mind here: are you not seeing a loss of flow by not having the valve restricted / partially restricted? For me, when I have a DS injector that’s on the way out the door, I can tell a difference in pressure coming out the end of the wand. If the ball and spring in my injector are sticking there is a a little less water pressure, but once the ball and spring are unstuck, I can feel it kick in. It still takes about 15 seconds to get soap through 150-ft of pressure hose, but I can tell it’s on the way.

I have a 3 way valve i have to install that will run to a water source so i can turn to rinse i just havent got to it yet but im def try that out once its on !

Interesting. I’ve never noticed any difference at all in flow whether the soap valve is on or off but I’m totally convinced everything from the surface cleaner to rinse tips will still draw a little soap if it’s available, especially running undersized injectors. Windows will tell the story. They sparkle like crazy after a house wash with the soap closed off during the rinse. Using rinse tips with soap available always left them spotty & cloudy in the early days.

I’m not sure how the 3 way operates but I run 3 singles with a poly T in the middle from Lowe’s. One turns everything on / off. One goes to the SH tank & one goes to a water tank for rinsing out the injector at the end of the job.

Its essentially like that but with another input source left side say SH right side water and the 3rd bottom would be which you want. It turns left to right and anything inbetween turns it off so idk how well it would regulate im going to look into that i think it blocks em if its not 1 or the other , woulnt be able to adjust if so i will check next time i mess with it ! Either way i might grab a 2 way just to be able to lower my mix / cut off that way would be nice especially since this injector pulls so hot now !!!

Roget that! Sounds like adding a 2 way in between the 3 way & the injector will give you the same functionality. Let us know how it works. I originally added the poly T before adding the valves so I could run a water bucket & an SH bucket without having to refill as often. It pulled 5 gallons of water to 2.5 gallons SH when totally unrestricted. The 16 gallon tanks came a little later & were a great investment.

I hear that ive been using the Xjet 5 gallon as my downstream container so the refilling i hear you on that but i just bought 2 15g tanks for 10 bucks each off facebook and replaced the 5 with a 15

that was before i put the check valve in place but just made me a quick drop stick so super exited for that !

Little steps add up. I used bulkhead fittings at the top with the PVC pipe glued in so there is actually no tube at all in the tanks. The pipe is essentially the tube. They’re cut to length where they are always 1/2 inch off the bottom with no slotted filters. I learned that hack from @Innocentbystander He’s got more tricks up his sleeve than David Copperfield.

Yeah thats what im gonna build up to but with itlike this i can easily pull it to rinse in a 5 gallon of water until i get the 3 way basically or if i need to downstream a differejt chemical just drop in

Do you find it pulls more than the 2.1? I imagine it would really cut down on rinsing GPM though.

It does, but reason for bypass.

So, the bypass…you soap a couple sides, walk all the way back, flip the bypass, rinse, flip it again and soap the other sections? Just trying to picture the process.

Yeah the flow pro or sumn makes it efficient i took mine out until i got more room and can put a remote on
With my 4gpm as i read more realized im not losing enough volume to need a bypass quite yet so i took it out because it was a hassle going back and forth personally at least. When i upgrade im go back and put it on a remote for sure tho because it works great

Usually, just switch off soap. Still getting 7gpm with the injector in. Plenty to rinse any vinyl house. But I rarely use, it’s just for like really, really dirty, most the time my 2.1 pulls more than enough, so the only time I switch off is when I’m cleaning large concrete. With 2.1, I pull 7.7 gpm.
