Brick patio, have a look

This was one of my jobs today, the customer was thrilled and I was happy.

I could use some advice on my method. The algae and moss were really old and bad, so I opted to dust off the Xjet and 3% the sucker. Waited 10 minutes or so and turbo’ed the extreme edges.

This was taking a while so I busted out the surface cleaner and all it did was polish off the lighter algae. In the end I had to turbo the whole thing. The customer and I discussed the mortar and she actually wanted everything (edit: the moss) blasted out of the cracks as they are having it repaired.

Any good advice is appreciated!

Do NOT blast the concrete out… We are pressure CLEANERS not RESTORERS… If you do make sure you sign a waiver or something before it comes and bites you in the a**. Let the concrete guys/owner who are fixing it take care of that. What ever chunks come off GREAT, anything left just say they need to pick at it with a hammer, chisel or however they remover the mortar.

@chinoltw gives good advice…wash it and leave the demolition to the other guys.

It does look as good as you could make it look.

I didn’t blast the concrete out, they wanted the moss taken out of the existing cracks so the mortar guys could work on repairs. I may not have made that clear.

For a second I thought you were wearing suit pants and shoes in that first pic…lol.

Right? Someone else thought I was dressed for church.

What tips/gpm are you using?

Frogg Toggs always got to be so foreign to everybody

I’d put down a 3 to 4% mix and leave it to dry. You may have to apply it several times
