Bought Honda IGX700 & Mazzoni Firebox - suggestions on RPM pump, unloader & safety valve?

Engine:
Honda IGX700 is a 22hp (up to 3600rpm) of these new engines from Honda.

Burner:
Mazzoni Firebox 350 bar @ 6.6GPM (25 LPM, can use higher flow if wanted.)

I bought this to use with 4000-4350 psi / 270-300 bar and 8gpm / 30lpm.
Were I’m located Interpump / General Pump in US is the to go brand it seems to be.

1. Pump speed - 1450 rpm or 1750 rpm?

After reading a bit it seemed that a 1750 rpm pump was the way to go instead of a 1450 rpm pump.
Asked the supplier what they recommended, they said 1450 rpm pumps are to be recommended. instead of 1750 rpm cause they are more reliable they said.

My first initial desire was to get this:
Interpump 66 Series Pump - 1750 Rpm T2830
4000 psi / 275 bar, 8 gpm /30 lpm, 1750 rpm, 21 Hp, 15.50 kW

But they recommended rather:
Interpump 66 Series Pump - 1450 Rpm W3025
4350 psi / 300 bar, 6.6 gpm /25 lpm, 1450 Rpm, 20 Hp, 14.70 kW

They said the internals is the same on these pumps but speed different.
Water output would be the about the same on these pumps at full speed of the engine - 7.4 gpm / 28lpm

Do you guys agree with the supplier? Price is the same on the pumps.

2. Unloader, safety valve - is much more expensive really worth it?

They recommended:
Interpump K9 Unloader Valve - 336 usd
Interpump Pratissoli S723 Safety Relief Valve - 380 usd
Total 716 usd

But their regular models sells with much cheaper parts:
VB350 Unloader Valve 60.1700.00 - 70 usd
Interpump S3 Safety Relief Valve S3 - 237 usd
Total 307

I would stick with their recommended 6.6 gpm pump. If you go to an 8 gpm the firebox might not be able to keep up and keep the water hot enough.

You are the first person I’ve come across in this forum to mention using the new Honda iGX 700/800 EFi engines. I don’t understand why nobody else is using these newer engines as they are more economical, require lesser maintenance etc.

Probably cost and availability.

Yes, I have not found anyone using IGX700 on any forums on the web…

I have the IGX700 on storage, but have not bough pump yet :frowning:
