Quick question has anyone on here used the GP Yg1635s Softwash gun on a 12v 5.5gpm pump? I know people use them on booster and air diaphragm pumps but can’t find any info on using them with a 12v.
They have a max psi of 350 for the gun I am wondering if possibly the low psi of the 12v (60psi) would not have enough pressure to work it properly.
I have the same question I’ll be using one with a 7gpm 60 psi diaphragm pump. When I get around to testing it I’ll let you know know how that goes I know yours is a bit less. All the videos I’ve seen they work just fine. I’d recommend the red based on all I’ve read and reviews and also has a swivel at the bottom which is a plus.
Why is this gun worth $110+?
I don’t think it is. It’s heavy and works similar to a $5 Gilmore gun.
No, that’s not right. It’s meant for high flow soft washing so there’s no reason to use it for your 5.5 12v pump. If you really want a gun use something like this UDOR Poly Spray Gun - Doug Rucker Store
Or make yourself a ball valve gun. Search here for a parts list.
@anon37135677 that’s what I prefer too. They last all season unless you drop it and break it.
Thanks for the replies everyone just saw one and thought it looked pretty interesting. I have the ball valve style already.
Lots of people use em. I’m just saying they are not the same as the ones mentioned.
