Bleach OK on stained deck?

So I am going to be pressure washing my house this week using 8.25% SH. I have a large stained deck on the rear of the house. I am happy with the condition of the deck and not looking to pressure wash it at this time.

My qustion is, will the bleach running down the siding and/or over spray have any adverse effects on the deck? If so, what do you guys do to protect the deck or other surfaces you are trying to keep safe from the bleach?

I wouldnt think your house mix should be strong enough to hurt the deck before rinsing. My general house wash is only 1-2% SH

Just keep it wet. Soak it before. Soak it while it dwells. You’ll be fine.

Light stains more of a pickle, can wash off with SH & surfactant, heavy stain not so much

if its stained wood i would do a test spot. Different stains react differently, i would apply a 2% mix to the deck in a small spot and see what happens. Then you will know its safe. Ive had a house wash mix lighten a lot of wood.
Unstained, even if wet you may still lighten the wood a little especially if its old worn wood.

Transparent & semi transparent stains are the ones to watch out for, solid stain not so much

Transparent and Semi-transparent oil based stains, intact water based in good condition shouldn’t do much of anything. As has been written test it. Pre and post watering should minimize most of it if oil based but even then I would be rinsing it immediately.
