Sent a quote in for a facility that wants a plaza in front of a cafe cleaned. Approximately 7,000 sqft of porcelain tile that has 29 sets of a table with 4 chairs for seating. They need the area cleaned after guest hours and I would have to move all the tables/chairs and trash cans, clean the tile flooring, tables/chairs, trash cans and then move everything back.
There are a couple others that submitted a bid as well. I k ow a guy at the facility and asked how my bid compared and he said I was a decent amount higher. I can probably move a little bit but for my worth don’t want to cut it too much.
Curious what y’all might think for this kind of a bid. Thank you!
That should be done with a floor brush scrubber not a pressure washer or surface cleaner. And then rinsed with a garden hose.
Yeah it’s a different ball game for sure. Still a significant job and curious what others think for a bid price. I was sitting around .35/sqft and additional for the cleaning/handling of the tables/chairs/trash cans.
For commercial I doubt you will get that at .35 sqft. Maybe I’m wrong but what I see in my area is a lot less…..that’s why we don’t do much commercial work. Much success though.
Thank you for the reply! Are you seeing sub $0.10 for commercial in your area? Just kind of blows my mind how you’d expect it to be reversed for pricing between commercial and residential. Damn companies want to pay pennies on the dollar for services and yet the residential customer pays for what its worth. I was just hoping for the more specialized cleaning for this job that it would be able to pull a better rate.
I do know one of the bidders isn’t even licensed so that probably isn’t helping out things.
Once again thank you for the reply, always value your input when I see it on posts.
.10-.15 pretty typical around here. I’ve seen parking garages go .05-.07 sqft. So yeah I’ll stick to the higher end residential customers.
Yeah I can’t really see why people are drawn to the commercial jobs if you are doing them at a fraction of a cost.
Fraction of the cost but recurring…
Sure you can get .35 for a driveway every 2-3 years or you can get .15 every 3-4 months.
Good way to put it and look at it.
