Bidding 6M sq/ft

So are you a vendor or a contractor? Obviously a vendor who also washes is not someone you want to buy from. That link states the company is the only one with an automated, closed loop system. As that is an untrue statement, you probably just linked the wrong company.

A little sensitive huh? I donā€™t see how you could possibly have all the resources to do a job of that scale but not know how to bid it. But it makes no difference to me. Do your thing.

He was testing usā€¦ like that guy who asked for opinions on his logo and then puffed his chest when we all hated it. Lol

They did it again. He was right about it being out of my league though. I wouldnā€™t even know where to start with a project like that like that. Probably with a loan.

I think that link is to the company he bought equipment from, learned how to use it but doesnā€™t know how much to charge for jobs

Josh,
The bottom line here is I design and build equipment. I have been doing this for over forty years, design and developing the first truck mounted carpet cleaning system for Sanley Steemer before I was out of college. In more recent years I designed, developed, built and trained the franchisees of SparkleWash International.
I was asked to quote this job, I am not the one that will be doing it, but it will be done with my equipment.

Someone else stated that my site stating that I have the only closed-loop cleaning system out there as being false, they really should do their research before making that type of statement. It is in fact thee only completely integrated, automated, closed-loop system on the market. We are the only manufacturer with the capability to process 10GPM to 1Micron removing all contaminants; except biological , which we can also do and turn recovered contaminants into non-leachable byproducts. By doing this we can put hydrocarbons, heavy metals, chemicals, etc. into a general landfill without HAZMAT fees . . .

In addition because we are closed-loop we save customers/clients thousands of dollars in water usage and material disposal.

So you are using absorbent booms or filters that turn contaminants non leachable ? That has been done for along time or is your process different ? Is it not legal to dispose of contaminant soaked booms pads or clay in bags into landfill ? I am interested tell us more

Ok gotcha.
Lots of folks come around here asking vague questions so our imagination fills the gaps, heh.

Thatā€™s neat stuff

Keep in mind most of what he is saying is marlarky. Hundreds of closed loop systems out there. He didnā€™t have the first or the only one. You can easily claim yours as unique by stating yours is the only one with a flashy purple light or something. Stanley Steamer says they manufacture their own equipment, so either they or this cat who by has been in the business 40 years but shows up here out of the blue to ask how to bid is lying

I am lostā€¦
So if it aint out of your league.
Why are u asking us about bidding?

Dad had a Stanley steemer franchise back in 1974. Itā€™s one of the reasons I had a carpet cleaning business during high school. I can assure Dad had several truck mounted carpet cleaning vans and that was 44 years ago. Maybe this cat developed it back in the early 70ā€™s lol. I think if we put him and Gamble in a round room for 6 hours they would talk/lie/impress each other to death.

You obviously believe you know everything that there is to know in this industry, just want to tell you personally you are so full of crap and lies it isnā€™t funny. If you actually did your own research and bothered to look anything up you might have half a clue as to what actually goes on in the world around you. Apparently you are not bright enough to know how to do that . . . easier just to [profanity removed]

Please donā€™t use profanity on this forum. Remain professional and stick to the truth. You have lost any chance at a first impression with us but you can stick round and try to rebuild your character and start a dialogue that may help you and others. Gotta lose the vulgarity though or go to another forum.

He is a smart guy and has designed a lot of stuff. I admire a tinkerer, but he oversold himself when it was easier to be a little more truthful and humble. Impressive resume though. Maybe heā€™ll curb his language and stick around

I was going to keep out of this until you mentioned my nameā€¦ LOL.

I believe you already asked Josh Minx if I make what I say I do and he told you the truth. Josh is again flying out to work with me on another large garage. He would not be doing it if I do not pay him well.

I have shown news clippings stating income that I received for cleaning a single garage, News media showing what we did for $140,000 in (3) days. Some have asked if I was making so much, prove it. They asked me to put up or shut up and put over 100k " Cash on the table" and so I did.

You chose what you want to believe. Most who doubt, do so because they are unable to accomplish those prices by themselves as they go through their property managers and THATā€™S FINEā€¦no biggie to me.

I am retiring in a few years without any subidise like a 120,000 yearly pension to help fund my company to stay a float. All I wanted was to give back to my fellow contractor. Some will listen, some will not. I do not charge like some at $349 for a few hours of my 7 years of Parking Garage experience only later to find out they are on Youtube dumping into a storm drain. ( By the way, I have 29 years experience in cleaning Multi level garages. and the first to be permitted to discharge with filtration in the country.) If anyone wants to see for themselves, this instructor on video discharging into the storm drain while cleaning a parking garage. I email it to yaā€¦

So if you do not believe Josh Minx, the checks, the cash, the homes, the trucks, the carsā€¦( Luv the Hellcat) the multiple rigs that I custom built at over $145k each, the 3-4 weeks traveling to foreign countries or working 40+ days a year, trust me, I wonā€™t lose any sleep over it.

I believe Josh. He said he got paid to do a project with you. I donā€™t give 2 hoots about any of the rest of it.

Your approach is whatā€™s hysterical. And the tirades about how awesome and wonderful you are is always worth a laugh. Thatā€™s why you were summoned.

When you retire you should really consider infomercials.

See what you get for calling beetlejuice lol. At least heā€™s not sleeping on the floor of a contractorā€™s house in Vegas because he couldnā€™t afford a motel room or having is collect for a plane ticket so he could come to a conference anymore. Nothing wrong with being broke.

Iā€™m glad he dug his way out. Happy for him.

If in fact your father had a Stanley Steemer franchise in '74, then he was using a portable unit and not a truck mounted unit as they were not introduced until '76. If he was real lucky; and could afford it, he had a portable unit mounted to a piece of steel channel in the van and ran it off of an Onan generator. Other than that you really are rude and ignorant for an ā€˜off-dutyā€™ fire fighter. Your father would be appalled by your actions and the way you disrespect others.

Jim,
I am very interested in your operation, equipment and knowledge of the industry. Unlike many on this site, you have been there and done that. Please contact me through tranthamkaiserllc@outlook.com
