Best time in the South

I live in the lowcountry of SC and of course this time of year is absolutely miserable being outside cleaning houses. Recently I started getting requests to clean customers roofs after explaining what the black streaks on their roofs actually are. My question is would I be better off to wait until the fall when temps cool down a bit to keep the solution on the shingles longer or just schedule the roofs now and just clean one early in the morning before the temps get just this side of hell? TIA

Jason

They clean great this time of year. Spray from the gutter line up to the peak and let it run down slowly. Then fill in the gaps along the lower parts. The heat will help you control your run off.

Thanks brother. I have only been washing for the last 2 years and very few customers down my way even think about their roofs, but are very open to the idea. Thanks again. I need to meet up with you the next time I’m in your neck of the woods. Pick your brain a little!

Do not wait to clean people’s roofs when they want them done or they’ll find someone else to do them. In my experiences people usually want to book work to be done before they have some type event at their house(not always but alot of times). So they’ll want it done in a reasonable time frame.

When its very hot just keep everything well hydrated. Rinse like crazy. Also hit the roof a couple of times with your roof mix so you know it will do a good job. Lastly if you can do these jobs earlier in the day before the sun is at full strength that will be best.
