Best place to buy a new Washer?

Well I asked the question about the difference between 4.0 and 5.5 gpm. Now what I am wondering is what is the best place to get a 5.5 gpm? I think if I can’t find the 5.5 i’ll just go with the 4.0 for now, then work my way up to the 5.5 since i’m really just doing house washes and driveways.

Here are two 4.0’s that i’m considering

And

Let me know your suggestions.
Thanks.

Where do you live? Theres a good chance you have a vendor near you that sells industrial bleach and makes/sells rigs and washers. Find a vendor and get a 5.5. Don’t bother with a 4gpm.

You want a belt or a gear drive.
Don’t rush this decision. Guys get on here all the time telling us they bought something and it ends up being not the greatest.

Chattanooga TN

Will do.

Found this, 5.5 belt drive. The vendor is in Kentucky though. Southside Equipment

If i were u i.would go to NT and buy a 4gpm belt drive.
Dont even look at the 5.5

4gpm is more versatile when starting out.

Then save and mkve.to.8gpm.

The set up.you will need for a 5.5 is almost the same as 8gpm but with a bigger buffer tank

Thoughts on this?

Buying a 4gpm machine is like buying a Walmart push mower to start a grass mowing business. Someone might tell you it’s a good idea but they either don’t know why better, know better and are messing with you or want you to fail. Russ at Southside is a great guy, but pressure pro is not quality equipment nor are the ratings/specs accurate. If you are starting a business, buy now what you will need 5 years from now. 5.5gpm is the bare minimum or what you should own. 7 or 8 GPM is what you need

I see, I guess i’d just have to go all in, i’m assuming most 5.5 belt drives are about 4k. But I get what you mean. That is actually a really good analogy!

Other than Pressure Pro, what would you recommend? I’m looking on the southside website and the 5.5 gpm pressure pro is all they have.

Don’t make the same mistake I did. A 5.5/3500 will have the v-twin engine, so it will also power an 8gpm which is only a few hundred more. I originally paid $3500 for a 5.5/3500 but swapped out the pump for an 8gpm the next year, so now it’s an 8/3000.

For now, I’d look around at a used 4gpm belt drive to start with. It’s more versatile than a direct drive you showed in the pics as you can run it off a very small buffer tank and not worry about some spigot putting out 3gpm.

Wash with that for a while, get an 8gpm in a year.

Here’s an example, found this in Georgia.

Of course if you can afford an 8/3500 by all means start there.

Everyine has their oen fav vendor to go to.
I like this one, ask for Lori

But if you can get a local reliable onr do so.

Remmember we all didnt start the same nor with the same reaources or do thu same line type of clienta

Don’t get a direct drive.

He’s asking 1500 for the washer and all the parts/attachments, he is bought it used also, he said it has about 100 hours on it.

if you use a self priming(water) pump and a buffer, Ill say this, you will need/want to go electric start. Some people get away with a pressure relief valve, but I tried one and it didnt work as I thought and releases water like a unloader would do.

Mi-tm This doesn’t sound like a bad deal with all the crap he’s got. If you can go look at and like ok, see if you can get him down a couple more hundred. That’ll at least get you in the game and you can see if you like. You can pay for that in no time. And will make a great little backup machine in the future.
