Best PA Turbo Nozzle? UR36 vs UR40? Anyone tried these?

This is your chance, @shaunKLEENRITE !

They’re likely 9-9.5 size now

lol. true.

General Pump did get back to me on the PA UR40… “All of the PA nozzle have the don’t need to point downwards. Depending on what PSI they are running I would probably recommend them trying the YR23K, YR36K or YR51K nozzles – these are all the same family but different PSI ratings.
I think the green cover is no different besides it can handle up to 5800 psi
Each different color cover represents different max PSI rating and these all feature ceramic tip and seat just like the green cover. The terminology lower vibration I think is a new marking term from PA.”

The PA website lists a patent for the ur40.

I looked it up and it’s 3 years old and mentions a counterweight in the nozzle to balance the vibrations. I can’t say how good it works or if they have the same tech in other nozzles.

I’ve heard the falch pointspeed has low vibration but I can’t afford a nozzle that cost more than my pressure washer!

I found a YouTube where a guy had a PA turbo with two nozzles in one turbo head so it’s balanced like the falch.

I did find on the PA website that there’s a UR36ct that has a single nozzle and a counterweight so it must be like the UR40 and the regular UR36 probably isn’t like the UR40 and has more vibration?

Edit: It looks like the one in that video with dual nozzles is a UR3 and some versons of the UR3 turbo have one nozzle.

The single UR3 probably is unbalanced and vibrates like normal and the dual is only available in #5 through #12. The counterweight UR40 is probably my best bet if it is something special and works great because i need a #4

I hope Shaun can get ahold of somone who know about this stuff, I dont think GP know too much about their sister company and im not in europe.

240231 UR3

GP sells a few PA parts. To my knowledge Interpump does not own PA. Do you know if they do in fact own them? I emailed a contact in Europe that has a purchasing account with PA to look into those.

I think you are correct and they are seperate companies. That would make more sense.

PA should find a better partner than GP in america, last time they just told me to contact GP.
GP ignored my emails to salesmen and the website contact form. I could contact PA again.

You knew the UR3’s are all G1/2 thread??

I didnt catch that, thats wierdly big.

The UR40 is G1/4. I had to get 3/8 npt adapters for my PA zero unloader which was G3/8 so i was thinking i might have to get a 1/4 quick connect/ high pressure inline filter with G1/4 threads from whoever i bought a UR40 from if npt versions werent available.

PA and NPT would be a big nope

The manual for my PA zero unloader had 3 versions, a NPT @ 280 bar, a G @ 280bar and a G @ 350bar which is what i bought but I didn’t know anythign about that or G threads till i got it and it didnt fit.

Are 1/4 quick connects the same here and in europe?

That would have been the first time I would have seen them doing NPT. Regarding quick disconnects, that’s a good question! I have no knowledge on that. I would venture to guess they are using a BSPT. The socket and plug would be machined using a standard print.

@mike3 BPST has different thread pitch, thread angle. The 1° taper is the only thing they have in common.

BSPP is the same as G and what i have on my unloader, It uses orings or crush washers instead of teflon tape/sealant.

BSPT is tapered like npt but different and more popular in china than europe. I almost bought a tapered bsp to npt adapter on amazon from a chinese seller but luckily i spotted it.

I can guarantee you it’s also sealed with anaerobic adhesives

Do you know a store where i could order a UR40 from to try it?

Personally I would wait on @shaunKLEENRITE
