Best injector on the planet and other fittings

Yeah I know I do. Luckily my tank is vertical. Saying I rushed my set up is an understatement. Picked up my equipment on the 23rd and season started the 26th. Had to do it this way because I don’t have indoor parking or storage and its snowing till mid/late March. Gonna get a big storage unit this winter

I had a streak like that. Your screwed now. The next one will last 2 weeks max. Lol. I’m having a terrible year with injectors.

Last year I was changing em out every 50 hours or so. I was also pulling from a bucket that was prone to get debris in it so maybe that’s why. I guess time will tell.

@Innocentbystander, @squidskc, or anyone else with the newfangled GP injectors:

Do you know the purpose of the little red plastic ring inside the barb? It seems like that might’ve been the failure point on the blowout I had this week. I reassembled without the ring, and it seems to be working just fine. So not sure what the intended purpose is.

That is supposed to be their chem proof oring. they blow out like crazy. I must admit I never tried putting one back together without it. I have probably bought a 100 since Brodie introduced us to them. Good catch

I run the same ones. I think it keeps the spring/ball seated just right

I couldn’t figure out where exactly it was supposed to be placed (it all kind of fell apart when I disassembled my old injector to use as a donor). It seemed to just get in the way anywhere I put it, so I simply left it out.

Injector has been operating flawlessly for the last two days of washing (it blew out early Thursday morning). I know that’s not a ton of time for testing, but hopefully it will continue performing. I just might’ve stumbled upon a fix for these awesome but occasionally temperamental injectors.

On a somewhat related note, I’m considering putting hose clips on my injector barbs. I would rather have a bit of water spray back into my bleach tank, than let bleach drain out on the ground when the hose blows off the barb.

My biggest issue with these are the darn plastic barbs cracking… they’ll last a few weeeks usually on my 6 and 8 gpm machines but my 4gpm cracks that barb about every time I use it  any reason 4 this?? I called dultmier and got some with the stainless steel barbs now but they were over $40 each. If they last itll be worth it lol.

And btw anyone ever try just press fitting the proportioning tips on regular injectors?? Seems like that would work well too

It’s an 8-32 thread. Just tap it.
