You gotta tighten them up more
I will tighten as much as I can. The holes in the darn aluminum skid are wallowed out a bit making the pump impossible to get straight. The tighter it gets the more cadywampus the pump gets.
Get two pieces of angle iron and bolt on both sides of pump rails so when you tighten the pump can only pull straight. Aluminium has no business trying to be a skid
Thank you! I thought about that but i have no room on the belt side. Can I just 180 the rail and make new holes?
How tuff is it to swap out for a steel skid @Innocentbystander
Call MVP, tell them you want a skid also when you go get your new machine 8 holes to drill. That’s it
On a belt that length I’d try and get that belt tight enough to only deflect 3/4"-1" in the center. Also those D&D power drive belts turned out to be the worst belts I’ve ever come across! They are the only ones that ever snapped on me. Stamped go ol PRC which is People’s Republic of China if you didn’t know. Yep real deal junk!
Not sure how long it will last but its square and snug. I am really bummed I have an aluminum skid. I am trying to grow and learn as much as I can, this was a good lesson. The downtime has pushed back enough work to buy a new machine. It will take me a month of crazy hours to catch up putting a serious dent in family time, which is why I do this.
Glad you got it going. I get grief for railing against pressure pro and other crap being sold to contractors, but it’s junk.
I thought you were just being biased when I read that stuff before lol. These things are the anti-maintenance mascot. Because the aluminum is so weak, they had to brake the edges around 360, gotta un-bolt the whole machine and jack it up to reach the pump bolts…
Wanted to ask, I have a few Landa dealers within 6 hours of me. None have the 690 Custom on their website. Does MVP exclusively builds those 8gpms? Also, will any steel skid replacement work for this PP?
Also, thank you for all the help!
MVP builds them exclusive at their shops. Call and speak to Diego, tell him William sent you. I only use his steel frames so can’t answer for others.
