Bedslide Skid installed

Got everything mounted on my new bedslide, huge back saver, no more climbing in and out of the truck and reeling in is so much easier.

it looks to clean and nice to use. I bet you breathed a great sigh of relief when you didn’t have to climb into the bed and pulled it out. I bet you were smiling like the butcher’s dog.

I don’t know what else you do with this, or if other mods are in the process, but please get rid of that 1" strap and get at least a 2" strap or some chain. Static vs. dynamic weight ratings. Make sure those eye bolts are rated for a higher weight than you would ever put in that truck. It is your stuff, you can do whatever you like, I’m just a safety freak with loads.

I was going to ask if that was a poly skid and how you mounted it, then I saw the strap. Those straps deteriorate rapidly in the face of SH, you won’t notice it at first, until the color starts changing. The bridge crews have a rule on all their rated safety straps, when the ink starts to wear immediately replace it.

Wisdom, thank you! I will definitely upgrade the straps asap.

I think the tie downs on the bed are rated for 1,000 pounds, and I am not adding anything more to my skid. So, I hope they are adequate.

I like it looks simple and normally simple means efficient lol

I am confusion.

Do you just leave it extended out all the time? Doesn’t look like you can slide it back in the bed with whatever those spun tanks are and the pw in there. And, if that is the case, why not do a skid instead?

It appears to me that the washer and those two tanks (whatever they are) are both attached to the slide which should allow for it to slide in all the way, but I’ve been wrong before

I think you’re right. I zoomed in and they look like they’re on the slide. Nevermind me, gentlemen. Carry on.

Is that a Gardiner Supermax? If so, what’s the length on it and how do you like it? I have an SLX27 and trying add some extension with Supermax…

It is but it is the 3K 27’ version. I love it and it’s compatible with all the extensions.
