Ball Valve Question

That’s probably an 5 or 8 GPM machine. You need plenty of flow to have the ball valve work for you like that in Anderson’s video.

Just water flow,nothing like that.

If you move the handle from open to close slow enough at some point it’s going to build up pressure. I had a ball valve once that had a loose ball inside likely not you issue but worth checking

Will check.

Works the same on my 4gpm machine as it does my 8.

You tube - look for Pro Clean Exteriors - 5 -6 videos there

I use the left one on the end of the hose going to my gun
The right one the line before my reel.

I would not use it that way.
I would use a gun to foam with a foamer adapter, but never like that through the QC

I think it is not safe to use a ball valve as a gun. But then that’s me

Uh oh - you’re starting to sound like @Innocentbystander. I knew he’d win you over with his charm. :joy::joy::joy:

Can’t wait for him to wake up a read this. You’ll have made him proud.

No name calling here…

Gosh… no way
Let me refrase it…
When working with chemicals it is not safe to use your ball valve as a gun…refrain from it.
Though I use it to rinse and clean my trailer and equipment, SC, at the end of a job and in between them.

… issue solved,

Am I vindicated now?..

Whatever… it is not safe period!!:joy:

I’ve been using my ball val e to rinse flat work. Way more efficient. However I have been concerned that it’s putting too much strain on my machine. Is this possible? Similar to wrong office size tips on surface cleaner was my thinking?

Ive tried rinsing with ball valve with using SC, i feel like putting M5 nozzle on there is quicker work.

I only use Ball Valve if surface cleaning… dont care for it much outside of that.

@Knighthawk55 I have 4gpm I can soap and rinse but not as good as the big boy machines. But it does work yyou just have to slowly choke it until you see foamy soap come out and when I rinse I switch my drop tube into clean water to rinse injector and rinse ground

I have a 4gpm machine. I’ve tried using the valve to rinse after running the SC. I need ear plugs to use it to rinse. It makes a ton of noise. Its the same thing the M5 twist. Its a toss up to me if its more efficient/effective. I can use a fan tip and move debris better I think but the flow is less or seems less effective. So on one hand I like the velocity I get with my fan tip on jrod. On the other, I like the volume from the valve. After several variations, I have been sticking with rinsing with the jrod rather than just the valve. I feel a higher gpm machine would produce different results.

I have or had both of those ball valves. The one with the long handle is a lot heavier and for whatever reason it failed relatively quickly. As @Racer said they also hang up on everything…
