BACK ORDERED Remote downstream controller (The Schertz Box)

If you get a chance, throw some pics up here of your setup. Mine is just on alligator clips and I’m getting tired of hooking them up every time so I’m looking at how I want to go about wiring it all up.

It shouldn’t be pulling voltage when it’s off. I’ve only had to charge my test battery twice over the years and it’s a small Walmart lawn mower battery, I cycle each box a dozen times to make sure it’s all proper before boxing it up. I think that battery you bought must have had a dry cell or something :man_shrugging:t2:

You know damn well that I have no idea what I’m doing with electricals and digicals. It’s 100% that crappy battery’s fault though.

One positive line runs from the battery to the switch. Then positive lines run from the switch to each accessory (12v and Schertz box). The ground for each accessory runs right to the battery (or a common ground connection).

I drew the lines in for the 12v pump. Red positive, white ground.

Sorry I’m just now getting around to troubleshooting this.

I have the old black box.

I tried a fresh battery in remote.

I tried a new remote with a new battery and proper programming.

The terminals seem fine. The battery turns over my diesel engine just fine. There is no corrosion and the nuts are tight and secure. Picture attached

It seems to be unusually tight in there. The wires have dug into the plastic of the box itself. I have no room to remove it to inspect though.

Pics attached

Added this pic edit for clarity.

You should probably check to make sure the box didn’t rub through those wires that you circled in yellow. Bare wires touching is generally a no-no.

New remotes for schertz box acting like momentary switch. Any help appreciated.

Did you follow the pairing procedure posted above? It’s the Facebook link I posted.

I don’t see the link now but here it is.

Perfect!

I pulled everything out and surprisingly the wire insulation is still intact. I’m at a complete loss.

That is unfortunate. Give @SchertzServicesLLC a call and see what he says. He stands behind his product and will get you lined out in no time.

I did a thing boys and girls! The predator is no more… honestly it hasn’t washed a house in 2 years but it ran good last summer sanitizing shopping carts. Went to lend it to a fellow washer and she was done for. So here we are!

Enjoy it! We put 3 of 'em on every rig we build. Had another local guy tell me, “I just can’t justify the expense”…I asked him what a shoulder surgery would run him

I mean, I’ve (almost) never been on a truck, and I’m a cheap accountant guy, and even I can justify the expense…
