Awning black streaks

Does anyone know how to remove these black streaks? It is not mildew it has already been cleaned with a light chlorine solution. We also tried a diluted solution with muriatic acid and a soft brush in an area and it did not remove. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Try a degreaser? LA’s Totally Awesome cleaner from the dollar store might be worth a shot. People report successfully removing tiger stripe oxidation from gutters with the stuff.

But you may just end up buying them new awnings if you keep trying different solutions on them. Something’s bound to cause an adverse reaction eventually.

If the uv has broken them down to the point the stains are no longer surface stains I’d walk away. They just need to replace the awnings.

Winsol deep clean or dragon juice… dragon juice would be my choice for that awning. Try a test spot first of course

I use winsol deep clean too. Works great. Usually with a little sh added.

Light mix not going to touch that. I had one yesterday that I tried a hw mix and dragon juice on and didn’t touch it. Tried a roof mix and that helped. Hit it with a 4% roof mix again and let dwell about 10min and that did it. Rinse thoroughly.

But will add, mine was a lighter awning to start with, so not sure how that strong a mix will affect that blue.

Straight SH with soap and hot water

Lol. Don’t do that
