I can’t agree with Guy enough!! You are working on a sizable investment of theirs (commercial or residential). Looking raggedy, whether it’s your site, uniform, truck, rig, whatever, leaves a bad impression and makes people assume you don’t care enough to put in the effort. Unfortunately, sometimes being vain will get you somewhere.

I’m glad I went back a read this again bc of all the things I was doing wrong. I no longer have a person vehicle as well

I know I post that pic alot but that’s my personal car.

My uniform has changed. We now wear the same pants and shorts with similar boots.

My shirts will be changing this year. They will be Polos and we will be wearing undershirts. Out new will be on the front. This is my rule. No facial hair other than a mustache. (I know sounds strange) Even our shades and hats will match. That stuff goes a long way for people. I told my guy if he comes to work with bleach spots on anything he goes home for the day with out pay.

I haven’t done a home show yet but I’ll be going to the local big one here next week to get ideas to set up for next years.

Attending round tables help get and stay motivated. Staying in contact helps you grow.

Flyers,Eddm,business cards,pens,sticky note pads will all be the same to be given to customers.

It’s all branding. When I go out unless I have to dress up I’m in a ARC Powerwashing shirt or a Ambidextrous Services shirt.

Why spend money on clothes when you can by the same thing and get your company on it.

Ever see a Coke Rep playing golf without some sort of representation!!

Same here, i’m almost always wearing something with my logo on it…Every morning at the gym, I sport the logo on the t-shirt.

Kyle, being visible can relate to any small business, not just pressure washing. One advantage in your business and mine is that we’re mobile, we’re not stuck in a brick & mortar store we’re everywhere and should take advantage of that.

Home shows & trade shows are great ways to get your company in front of customers. Yes we’ve done a couple. 10’ display booths are cheaper than you think and can be found on ebay anywhere between $400-$1000. These can be set up just about anywhere. Home/ Trade shows are where you can really take your business to the next level.

But…Do your research on the company that puts on the trade show. Find out what the past attendance numbers were from the past trade shows. Expect to pay $1000.00+ for a booth.

Here’s a few pictures of our booth. Know how I made ours stand out??? Remote Control Bubble Machine, while attendees will soon forget about the other booths, they will never forget about pressure washing booth they walked up to and all of a sudden bubbles started falling all around them. It was funny watching their faces when this happened.

We even won the peoples choice award for our booth.

Yes, I have gotten calls, even just this week, going down the road, from people seeing the truck in traffic etc… It absolutely goes a long way in helping establish my brand in my area. Plus, rolling up in front of someone’s home for an estimate looks professional. Happy I did it.

Lol I remember a few years ago I got my truck lettered up and the tailgate wrapped, and was leaving the graphics shop and I got about 3 miles down the road when the phone rang and it was a guy needing his roof cleaned and was behind my truck. That job paid for my graphics plus more:)
