Whenever I do get the system I’ll try it, I’ll rest the difference with some extra 5/8 hose of flexilla I have. If I see a noticeable difference then I’ll order some 5/8 kuritec From Lori
I can always have an extra 50 ft of 5/8 in a bucket incase I need it and quick connect it
I get 10gpm out the gun off 200’ of 1/2” hose. 300’ is only about 60% of that, it drops considerably
Hmmm, good to know. I run 250 and tested mine yesterday at 225 psi thru 5/8" hose and only got little over 6gpm. Going to test it tomorrow with a 10’ section and see what I get
I was at 290 psi. Also with softwash gun 1/4” no tip
You shouldn’t run it that high and you won’t for long, lol. Anyway, did test today at around 215 psi and with just whip hose, truly got right at 11 gpm. Plugged it into my reel with 250’ of 5/8 and no nozzle (thought that might be restricting flow) and same thing as before - got 6gpm. I mean a true 6gpm shoots pretty far, but flow not nearly the same. I’m at the stage now where I’m tempted to cut that sucker in half just to find out. I’m losing a good 5gpm due to hose friction loss.
Just cam lock sections when you need more length!
See my 12v gives me about 3 gpm flow out of 250 ft. To spend a few grand and only get 6 gpm seems less and less worth it to me
6 isn’t bad. Look at all the people that have 5 or 5.5 machines. And I could be doing something wrong with mine, but I need at least 200 if not 250’ of hose. With the 1/2" hose I was only getting 4 out of it, only 1gpm more than my 12v
Trust me it’s 100% worth it. I only use the pressure washer to rinse now don’t even DS anymore, even with the Schertz box (which is awesome). But it’s only worth it if you have the hydro mixer xl and even better with the remote system. Being able to change the strength you want on the fly to clean anything incredibly fast is invaluable. I like to rinse double gunning it at 18 gallons a minute. Kind of like double fisting beer but with shooting water instead we get jobs done three times faster when there’s two of us now.
I agree with @Seandz i couldn’t live without mine. I probably use it 60% of the time. I couldn’t even tell you where the remote to my shertz box is it’s been so long since I’ve downstreamed.
Do you run 1” suction lines and 1” proportioner? Mine came with everything 3/4 and if I turn my SH down to ~1% I loose a ton of flow. I think I’m going to switch to 1”
I started diluting my sh 50/50 and turning up to 1.5% or more.
If I got the machine it would be for roofs and throwing chem down on flat work quickly, not for house washing. I hate spending thousands on one thing just to get another that does the same then that first investment becomes a waste. I can get the AR system and use my 12v for transferring SH to my tanks only but my schertz system? Not sure you know. And I have my 1200 proportioner already so I’m just weighing things out
Your pressure washer is expensive (assuming you got a good one) and using all the hours on it to shoot 8gpm with low pressure is a lot of wear and tear when you can have 10gpm, shooting any strength you want, for a 5th of the price. I use both. My tech uses the PW for actual pressure needs and rinsing the soap I apply with the AR. I also rinse with the AR and will be doing more rinsing now that I finally got the remote control system to switch between soap and water. You would use both every day. If by myself I’ll soap with the ar and rinse holding both guns together for extremely fast work. I hated using the 12v and only did when necessary. I guess you just need to try it to realize the benefits. I also do a lot of stucco, and ds isn’t strong enough.
Realistically not 10 gpm though after 250 ft of hose… plus I can extend my 8 gpm up to 400 plus and I’ll still get 8 gpm.
Sounds like you’ve talked yourself out of it lol. Doesn’t matter to me if you get it im just sharing my experience. I use 200’ of 1/2” hose and filled up a 5 gallon bucket in 30 seconds. Another thing to consider is if your using a 1/4” gun. You can get a 1/2” gun for better flow. I also love shooting 50’ up and back with a gun with no lance
I haven’t talked myself out of it, I can see it useful for roofs and applying large amounts of chem like parking garages and such but not sure of house washing
Do you have stucco houses? Or gutters that don’t come clean on the first try with ds? It makes all the difference in the world cleaning at any percent at same flow and reach as ds
If i show up to a really nasty house i can turn up the SH on my AR instead of having to hit the side 2 or 3 times with weak DS. Shaves an insane amount of time off
And like @Seandz said if you have a lot of stucco. And at least by me any house that is stucco is usually big and a 12v wouldn’t stand a chance
