AR Pump leaking oil

So I was doing a job this morning and when I finished I notice that my oil from my pump had leaked out . Does anyone know what can be the cause of this ? Is this a small repair or I’m I going to need a new pump . Hot water , AR pump, 4.9gpm 3k psi

It’s going to depend on where it leaked from. Need to determine that first. You’re sure that’s pump oil and not motor oil?

Looked liked it came out of my pump . But the engine is on the right side of the pump . I was in such a hurry today didn’t check the oil levels . I’ll check them out this weekend

AR pumps are known for leaking. Run it til it goes out then get a commercial grade pump. I wouldn’t spend money repairing it.

I purchased this machine used , and the pump is the only thing I didn’t like . But I think you’re right , I shouldn’t spend money repairing it . I just don’t have the money in my winter fund to change the pump just now .

How long do you think I can run it ?

Absolutely no way to know. Not much of answer but run it till it blows. Keep adding oil

Id bet its the crank seal. Easier than piston seals so I hope Im right.

As long as you don’t run it dry it can run for as long as it’s meant to last. That is if you don’t have water in the crankcase (doubt you do)

Mostlikely it just needs a rear crank case gasket, I had my first Udor pump leak from there and the gasket was like $2

If the pump is leaking at the plungers, new seals are in order. And that’s a bit more expensive and a bit more work

So to repair the AR was going to be $700 , soi decided to purchase a new udor pump and have it installed . Total cost with installation and new belts came to $900. Took it out for the first time today and it did amazing . I did notice that there was a small oil spill on the top . Could it be there to much oil ?
Thanks @Chesebro for the recommendation on the udor pump

That’s normal. It blows out what it doesn’t want.
