Anyone use Bullfrogz?

Any reviews or experiences with these? Do they run big? Thanks.

I’ve been using the Guardian III and I have been really impressed with the quality and comfort at such a low price. (I was gonna get the Bullfrogz, but the Guardian got better reviews from a broader range of users) Plus, the extra height is really nice when you’re working in shorts…keeps overspray, dirt, etc out really well…not sure that a shorter boot would do that.

If I remember correctly, they do run large. We ordered a pair for my wife and they ran WAAAY large, but they swapped them out for another size with no hassle whatsoever, and gave us a credit toward our next purchase.

One thing: I am used to wearing steel toed fire boots, so I ordered the steel toed version…I will not be doing that again! Lighter grade boots (like you’re looking at) and steel toes are not a good combination, in my opinion.

If you stick with the Bullfrogz, would you mind doing a review after you’ve had them for a while?

Hmm, I like that the Guardians are tall (TX we work mostly in shorts). You said these run a little big? I wear an 11, so would a 10 fit better? Thanks for the input Atlas!

I think a 10 would be better. Their customer service is really good, so you might want to call them for the sizing help.

I love my bullfrogz and yes I had to send them back for a size smaller.

Thanks guys for the input.

I bought a pair two years ago. Wore them for about a week and thought I looked like a clown with them on (the toe is very very wide). One of my guys saw them sitting in the toolbox and wanted to know if he could wear them. Sure, you can have them. He wears them to this day. Two years and still going strong. I offered to buy him a new pair at Christmas, he said he would just keep the ones he had. Tread still good and no complaints about his feet hurting.

I order the bullfrog PRO 10" series soft toe, should be in today. Washed yesterday in my fire boots for about 5 hours-feet killing me today. Hope these are more comfortable. I’ll give a review of them. Thanks for the input!

Why is it that you can wear fire boots for 5 hours on a fire and your feet feel fine, but wear them 5 hours doing anything else and your feet are killing you? LOL

Right! Between the air pack, heat, & being pooped the feet kinda blend into the rest.

Yep! I miss those days sometimes.

Decided on the bullfrog PRO 10" soft toe boot. Just walking around in them they are super light and seem comfortable. Curious to see how they do with a full week of washing.

Cool! Please keep us posted on how you like them.

Those of you that wear Bullfrogs, will you pant legs go down over the boot? They look pretty wide at the top. I’d like to try them but I can’t stand not having my pants over the top of my boots.

Dickies will go over the top of the boots in the pic above.

I know it’s a bit late, but I just got the SFC catalog in and they have a 16" Bullfrog Pro (composite toe) now. I think I’ll be trying those next.

I bought a pair of bullfrogs about 3 years ago and gave them to my employee to wear. He wore the snot out of them. Never complained about long days and nights on flatwork. The only issue is this…don’t leave them in the back of your truck on a sunny day, they will shrink to the size of a 5yo’s foot! Needless to say, he’s not wearing his bullfrogs anymore.

I learned that the hard way with Bullfrogz shrinking in the sun. Super light & super comfortable.

Funny you mentioned how fire boots don’t bug you on scene but washing a house feels like you’ve had them on for 3 days. Lol

Those were an old pair of throw down “yellow” boots. New globe fire boots we have maybe more comfortable, but still lugging a cinder block on each foot. Glad I found these Bullfrogz!
