Anyone tried Street Bidder?

Has anyone tried Street Bidder-Flyers Are Dead-Send Jim for marketing? It is an interesting idea but 3 name changes in as many years and no reviews to be found. Just wondering if anyone here has tried this service and what they thought of it.

Im a big fan of this product. I used it pretty extensively back in their first iteration. The only reason I stopped using it is because I sold my business.

Did you ever get any negative feedback from people disliking their house on a post card?

Just a bit… thats how I knew it was working. We saw conversion rates that were about double the average. I love complaints!

I used it and they have great customer service some of the best out their. I had several people run up to my car and want to know why I was taking a picture of their house. Its way to time consuming for the monthly price, but hey the guy has to make a profit I understand. Taking pictures of houses that you wash and being able to plug into a data base and send them reminders and thank you cards and have their info at the tip of your hands is awesome, I just could not make the numbers work but I would of loved to have that feature alone.

I am sure they have some sort of trial period or free moth you should really check it out for your self to see. Plus I used it when it first came out they may have made a bunch of changes since then.

I never like the fact they owned your data base and you did not, they said they were working on a fix for that, so I wonder if that has changed.

I also much prefer to use my own templates that are designed for my area exclusively which you could not do at the time, you had to use theirs, , again they said they were working on a fix for that, not sure if they did.

All that being said you wont find a better customer service company out their.

I say give a try and report back your findings.

I spoke with them and liked what they had to say. I signed up for their free trial period to play with it. They did tell me that the data base could be exported at any time or I could import any date base that I had currently. They also let you do your own template or will even do one for you at no cost as of right now. Unless I am missing something, it seems relatively inexpensive at $30 a month and $0.59 a piece unless I am not accounting for all expenses involved.

I will report back in a few weeks. I really appreciate the comments.

It used to never send the cards very buggy. I’d be careful

Hopefully 2 weeks will give me enough time to try it.

Hi Steve,

Let us know if you have any questions or issues. We have learned a lot over the past few years and now have some great things in place. For one, we are integrated with the largest print provider in the nation for this type of printing. The card quality is great as well.

Following up with your customers is so important and we make it super simple.

Also we have some support videos here if you need them: https://sendjimhelp.com/support-videos

I would add keep in mind this time of year sucks for any call backs on mailings, so if your checking them out for functionality that is good, but if your checking them out for a true test of ROI I would say its the wrong time of year for pressure washing to get any good responce

That is what I was thinking so I am sending them to friends and family this month.

I could be wrong but it seems that by subscribing to this is building a data base to be sold to other parties out of your control…not saying it’s wrong but you’re doing all the leg work & some one else is reaping the rewards…again just my opinion.

Hey Guy!

What data points collected do you envision being of value to someone?

@SendJim.com

What is your policy on customer data?

Bump

I’m wondering the same thing. What is your policy, @SendJim.com

We don’t use anyones data for anything ever nor will we in the future. The only thing we really have in terms of data in the first place is lists of addresses for the most part. Our RadiusBomb.com database has almost all deliverable addresses in the USA.

We just make it nice and easy to mail things like letters, postcards, greeting cards, gifts etc. We have no use for or interest in company data.

You own it, not us.
