Anyone ever cleaned the inside of a 53' box

Owner of the 53’ trailer says the wooden floor isnt greasy it’s just dirty. Wants it washed. I’ve seen regular fleet washes but I’ve never heard of anyone washing the floor of one of the trailers… When I was an over the road trucker, the most we did, was sweep them with a broom if the shipper required a spotless box… we never got them washed lol… any insight on how an experienced fleet washer would go about this; would be uh-mazing…

Start at back and wash forward. I got $9 if i had to do a wash out, but that was 20 years ago. Probably up to $12 now

@Innocentbystander so that would be if your doing a bunch of them tho correct ? I’d hate to lug my rig over to where this rig is, to wash one box out for 12 dollars. Haha. I want to add fleet related services in to my business model, are all fleet services so cheap ? Do they have to be ?

Washing a single truck isn’t fleet washing. Yes most fleet services are cheap. You make the money by having volume.

You gotta do a lot and it’s night and weekend work. Not for me anymore, plus reclaim has entered the picture now.

He says its just dirt but id prob ds some ebc. And charge at the very least $100. More if you think he’ll go for it. I’d probably pass on this job personally. I won’t haul my trailer for anything less than $150. And thats only of its within a few miles for a small patio or walkway.

@Clean1 I was thinking the exact same thing. I have a shop tho with other rigs and multiple trucks on the property so I offered him the option of coming up dropping his trailer and having me clean it where my shop is. So hes got options. Lol

Options are always good. Maybe offer a small discount if he brings it to you. Or if be agrees to monthly washes.

Those were things I def considered. If I gotta haul water all the way from the shop to where his trailer is tho, I’m gonna have to put the price on it for sure ! Lol.
