Anybody Use A Laser Distance Measure?

I have looked into these & thought about getting one but since I have never used one I’m a bit iffy about it.

There’s a good deal on a Bosch one which is the most reputable brand that makes them, well at least on Amazon. There are some lower priced options on Amazon but it’s one of those newer probably China based brands which I’m naturally apprehensive towards.

I’ve used one a few times to measure and since they are line of sight if you have a lot of shrubs in the way it may not work for everything.

Nothing beats a good old fashion wheel and tape measure as a back up.

All the time. But a (good) wheel is necessary to have. If you’re getting calls for garages, etc you’re going to want the longer range.

get a good one. The cheap ones with the tiny wheels suck. Counter goes bad after a couple uses.

Like @Power.Wash.It said this will come in handier than a laser tape.

Have that exact one (laser) i got at a yard sale for $5 unopened… its awesome.

But i use wheel for this line of work for flat work.

I got really lucky and found a vintage analog wheel, little rubber thing rolls around and hits a mechanical counter. $20 on Marketplace.
