I am currently replumbing my skid with tigerflex because I’ve seen it recommended in several places. I have never had so much trouble trying to slide a hose onto a barb in my life. I’m putting all my body weight and strength into it and twisting it and its fighting me the whole way. i double checked the size and everything is right. my main problem is getting it on the polypropylene banjo barbs. the brass ones are giving me headaches too. ive tried soaping the barb with some dawn and using some old cable pulling wax i had. nothing is helping. Is it normal for this stuff to be this much of a pita?
Sorry I may be out of my depth here, but I use a heat gun to soften whatever I’m trying to put on a barb.
I used the stuff for my supply/suction hose going to the pump, it was definitely helpful to heat it first.

Yep. Heat gun, blow dryer, near boiling hot water.

I say this with peace and love. Heat gun if you’re not an idiot. Close to boiling water if you are. Both will get you where you’re going. Good luck. Don’t burn yourself or your stuff

I did dish soap on inside and heated it. Ain’t no way those things come off without you wanting it to!
Heat gun, and a finger swipe of oil inside the rim if that doesn’t make it easy enough.
