You really have to wonder if someone does not see this a nightmare waiting to happen when
they install this in a home as these photos show. Butyl based cleaners work at removing this
and some of Bob’s F13 (contains potassium hydroxide) work for soot and carbon deposits.I
would do test spot, if using F13 do not drip any on the rest of the siding, in event oxidation
issues with this siding, which would create more headaches. Keep us posted, good luck!:o

I’ve had good success with my regular housewash mix. Granted, I’ve never attacked anything that bad. But I did do one last year that had maybe 1/3 to 1/2 that amount of buildup, and it all came off with the first rinse. YMMV
holy cow … im with bills. how did 1) the contractor and 2) the home owner or 3) anyone else in the world not see this coming before the finished product?
i think i would have to suggest putting a 3’-4’ 45 degree angle on that pipe to the home owner
I used purple powder the other day and was extremely pleased with the results.
Thanks for all your recommendations. My plans were to two phase it but the first phase ( eliminator gutter cleaner) worked so well… I didn’t want to waste time or money on second phase. Any discoloration you see is actually just water. I washed the whole back side when I was done. Homeowners are super pleased. Thanks again

That really turned out great! So did you use Elemonator, or F-13? I’m kinda confused. (BTW, now you need to get their roof clean!)

Typical zero clearance setup! See them in the midwest like this all the time.
What a difference! We’ve used F13 to clean soot and exhaust on siding with success.

I use EBC with house wash mix , it dissolves and disappears , then rinse… Mix it strong
