Any plumbers out there?

So when I do replace mine, What are y’all’s thoughts on a inline whole house WH ? Is it as energy conserving as they try to sell ?
We only got 1 bath and a kitchen, laundry ,Its just the two of us, kids all grown and outta the house. 200 amp service.

I would put a tankless. They are so much better. The gas version is far better the the electric

Natural gas tankless for the win! For a long while they were mediocre, but a lot has changed in the past few years. Over the life of the unit, it pays for itself in the fuel/energy savings. And the wife can fill up that new garden tub without running out of hot water

Thanks Jake! I’ll test it as soon as I get my hands on a multimeter…I really appreciate your help!

Buy yourself one man , I wouldn’t have been able to get my 12v burner working again without it last week. Saved me paying someone 65$ an hr and to boot, fixed my HWH . And learned a ton. Just adds that little edge of enjoyment of fixing it yourself and putting that knowledge in your pocket like the boss’s on here.

The vent is the biggest thing

Sorry to hear that Coop

no worries @Hotshot, could have had 2 go out!

Well all this plumbing talk and I wake up this morning to NO WATER. That’s what she was screaming at me at 430 this morning when she was trying to get ready for work. Turned out the guys that installed my duct work yesterday pulled the line out of the box

Electric line ?

Yes for some reason it’s got a the lights under the house tied to it. Oh the Joy’s of owning a old house. So now I gotta run two circuits one for the lights under the house and one for the crawl space lights. Glad to have the duct work replaced .Add bonus is the weather in Va today its perfect to have the windows open and air out the house. So everyone can hear me cussing.
