I’m older generation fart lol , I’ve done alot of sweating pipes and soldering in my day , But I’ve never had the opportunity to use a shark bite or pex before, That’s for the new generation I gather. But I do hear great things about pex.
Last plumbing I attempted was changing the bathroom faucet…6 stitches in my left hand later I prefer to call someone now. Ha
Be sure to call me -
$95 an hour labor with minimum 1 hr
$25 Trip/Truck Charge
All parts will be 50% more than I pay for them
I will make sure to turn that $50 faucet replacement into $175 quick!
Well, looks like they hooked you up already. Just an FYI, flush out your heater periodically to eliminate sediment accruing in tank. Doesn’t matter if you have well water or city water, tons of crap in water and pipes. My area just had the water lines changed, you should see what comes out of those lines.
Personally I flush my tank every 3months. Some say it’s a lot but I look at it like this, why not do it while changing my whole house filter. Just like every 3 months I pull my septic tank spray pump and clean the screen on it. Maintenance is key to everything lasting and getting your moneys worth.
You might be just right, I’m gonna weigh this up when done
I just bought the place about 3 months ago , I gotta tell ya if I didn’t pull that lower thermostat like @Jake_Lambert said I would of never got these big deposits to drain out.
I’m pulling out the gun now to agitate it some more, What could possibly go wrong.
That was humor fellas, only humor ![]()
Just like a wash guy! Pull out the gun and give it all she got!
@Hotshot You might wanna check the dip tube and the stick. Before you put water in it chances that you need to replace them also are high
Its still there buddy, spent an hr Inside the HWH dodging the fill tube with a shop vac. Got hot H2O again, wife will be home shortly to test her 1hr shower
.
You’re not charging enough
Totally agree. @Hotshot Those elements are going bad quickly because your anode rod is gone by now. In that room, you’re not gonna like replacing that part; it’s 3’ long and screws into the very top. But it keeps the elements and tank from corroding.
You’ll get at least a year out of those new elements before they corrode again, but I’m willing to double down my dollar bet that the tank isn’t far behind! Galvanic corrosion is a pain on wells
Ahh the sctick/ anode rod, that’s what he was talking about @Jake_Lambert . if it gives me 1 more month or so I’ll be happy as a clam. Bought a used house in November then Christmas and purchased a crap ton of chems in December stung a little.
Dang bro how long a showers are you taking? Lol jk
I’m a big fella @Seandz ,Gotta get the stank off after a hard day. I’m also like this in the shower

Mad skills baby !!
What type of pipe is in your house you may need di electric unions
You would love my old place, steel water line coming into house and out of wall, connecting to copper, connecting to pvc connected to pex… the Joy’s of a old farmhouse.
I would cut all of that out and put a manifold system in. So much better if done correctly
It’s in the plan, just never enough time or money, honestly it shouldn’t be to bad. 2 sinks,1 toilet, 1 washer, and the bathtub are all the water connections in my house, but to get at them I have to tear out all the insulation in the cellar, and that cheap mdfish board covering it up. New water heater is a must mine was installed in 97…
