Hello all. I was wondering if anyone had any advice about any handy YouTube vids from a trusted source relating to gaining more knowledge on this type of business? After reading a few posts I feel like I have learnt a great deal about this industry but seeing things in action as such has got to help a lot more. Thank you all for you input for others to read up on. It has been quite an eye opener. Thanks.
Dans Vlog, he goes over lots of basics. Good starting point. Then come back here and read and that’s when you really learn tons of good stuff.
Rick has some good videos. Here’s one of him washing a house. He also has a couple explaining his trailer build.
He puts out a lot of bad info
The old ones with Mike Kreisle. I stopped watching about a year ago.
I know, but he does pretty good with basics. That’s why I said then come here. You can learn a lot from his videos and basic equipment and setup. He was the reason I got into this and so far so good. Problem with Dan is he is a Lawncare guy first. Pressure Washer 2nd. So his prices are lower and stuff like that.
I like that guy. Good channel.
There’s another one I actually learned how to clean tannin stains a couple years ago. I really liked the guy in the video. Seemed very earnest. I’ll try to find the video again. He’s got a pretty dang good channel IMO
That was easy.
I like this guy’s info. He has a super good, easy, fast video on using oxalic to take rust off siding too.
Thanks guys there is some really good info here. Lots to watch and a good guide for learning. Thanks
I second dans vlog. Great for beginners but beware his math on his sh ratios is a little scary.
Rob Anderson Clean Power Wash Salisbury MD. Absolutely awesome! Lots of videos from beginning to advanced. Dan’s Vlog is good for a beginner but you have to be careful. Some of his advice is wrong or at least not best practice.
If your goal is to survive with the bare minimum, undercut competitors instead of getting better, and be the go to guy for “price shoppers” then Dan’s vlog is the one you wanna watch.
If you want to build a real business that offers value and eventually high quality jobs to employees watch Rob Anderson.
Haha thanks man. I haven’t done a video in awhile because they’re mostly shop tips and I want a better camera… but! More pressure washing related videos are coming.
If you want pressure washing content I don’t have much on there.
Also for start up and small business inspiration Keith Kalfas!!! His videos rock! Most are on landscaping and window wash but he is a total inspiration for new guys or those transitioning from w2 to independent business people! He does have one on his epic pressure wash failure. He puts it all out there!
I know I mentioned this in a message, but WashRiteNZ, your pacific neighbor, has a channel and seeing where you won’t really be competitors he’d be the first person I’d call to find out what surfactants he’s getting in your neck of the world.
If and only if @BuzzLightyear wasn’t a competitor I’d ask him too.
Lastly, I’ve been watching a channel called lawn care millionaire lately and he has a TON of videos on door hangers and marketing and business building. Seems like a very earnest fella too. Different line of Business, but same industry: service. Good videos.
Check out Keith Kalfas. Some very amazing videos.
Buzz is a lovely guy but he spouts some absolute rubbish advice!
I would recommend Quick talk podcast with Josh Latimer. No advice on the technical side but his business ideas are awesome. Quite inspiring as well.
