Any advice for a new LLC low-cost marketing

looking for advice about new LLC marketing and getting new clients? looking for some marketing options that don’t cost a lot of money, besides the Facebook groups. Also, would it be worth it for paid ads this early on? we have just recently finalized the LLC and are only in the first month. besides getting new clients what other things should we be focused on? like ranking high on google, or other routes? any advice will help thank you for your wisdom.

I know a few people that spend 1-3k a month so their website ranks good on Google and it does generate them good business, I also know people who aren’t even on Google and get business the old-fashioned way and get good business.

I personal rank decent on Google (map pack) and have landed quite a few jobs from that. I didn’t pay anyone and just watched a few YouTube videos on optimizing your google my business profile.

Last year I put down 50 yard signs, all at entrances of neighborhoods that needed me and that I wanted to work in. They had the algae and they had the money, I didn’t receive one call not one job. My signs are nice and big, so I was surprised when I didn’t get one call from it.

My pressure washing trailer is an enclosed trailer that I turned into a billboard on wheels, I got it fully wrapped. When I’m not busy with work, I just park in front of Walmart and sit there for a couple hours reading a book lol that has generated me a good amount of work.

I got a buddy who does 20K a month and generates all of his leads through Facebook not advertising, but just through networking and posting in community pages work he has done.

My advice to generate work for residential work, post in Facebook community groups. For commercial, call all of your local property management companies and tell them what you do.

Do everything you have the time to do, relative to how much you would like to grow. Track the ROI on everything, so when you have to choose what to do, you can choose the best avenues.

I think yard signs are more effective near traffic signals. When your sitting and waiting for the light, you are more likely to see the sign and think about it. If its just at an entrance to a neighborhood, you just drive past it. People are not going to stop in the middle or side of the road to get the information on the sign. If you do intersections, check and make sure they are not placed on private property and also ask the city if there is any regulation for signs. Most of the cities in my area of Texas allows signs only on the weekends and they have to be removed before Monday morning. There are sign companies that you can hire to place signs out and pick them up to be compliant. You will always see them out late Sunday night picking them up

If you have certain neighborhoods you’d like to be targeting to then I would specifically try to gain the business of one of the first houses near the main entrance in that neighborhood. Perhaps offer a discount to get that first house in there in exchange for permission from the homeowner to display a yard sign prominently where other patrons of the neighborhood will see it. But be sure that if there’s a HOA that there are no restrictions on these types of signs.

When leaving signs in yards, ask permission, set an expectation of length of time it should be out there, and pick a good location. I personally only have 2-3 signs and I move them around, never leaving them more than a week or so in the same location. I have a background in landscaping so I try to be mindful of the where inground irrigation heads may be spraying so as to not create a “burnt” area of the lawn. Finally, think about your location from a driver’s perspective: is the placement of your sign going to block the homeowner from safely backing out into the roadway, or might it block the line of sight of cars trying to turn at a stop sign?

I have used 2 sided tape and put my cards on doors of neighborhoods I wanted business in. I’d say I would at least get one call from that per neighborhood and had a good closing rate on those. I sent out letters this past year to specific houses. Basically went on google and looked at the mansions around my area and got their addresses. It took about 3 months to see results
, but I got a call and landed a good job. It was definitely worth the time especially with low marketing funds.
