Another… help me figure out what happened here

Hi community.

I’m stumped by the results of this driveway. Can y’all give me your two cents just by looking at these pictures (before and after). It seems like the overlap is the darkest? Maybe this was our mistake but we didn’t pre or post treat since the original assessment didn’t show much organic buildup and thought we could get away with just the surface cleaner.

Are you being serious? Is this some AI generated, “make this driveway look like the worst etched concrete”? You just kept going and did the whole thing like that? Hope you have good insurance, because I’d bet your paying for new concrete.

What do you have, 0 degree tips in your surface cleaner?

Judging by the construction mess and Porta John at the top of the drive, I’m guessing this is a very new neighborhood and that concrete is at best 6-12 months old.

I hope for their sake it is AI, but I doubt it:

How new of the concrete? What is your pressure at the surface cleaner? What size tips are you running? What is the specs on your pressure washer? How many feet of pressure line used? We clean concrete all day at 2500 psi at the surface cleaner with no issues. Obviously your pressure is high, big time.

Its real…I believe new concrete

I kind of like the decorative circles, LOL. I’m just curious what kind of SC he’s using with what looks like a 48’ single bar radius to make the circles. I’m thinking it must be AI. Who drives a pink truck?

seems like a legit window cleaning company out of Raleigh, NC.

they are. I have seen them around.

@david0165 I don’t do much concrete at all, but this seems pretty clearly way, way too much pressure. Using broader fan tips, oversizing the orifices on the nozzles to reduce pressure, and definitely using a detergent or surfactant would go a long way towards avoiding this situation.

As others have indicated, I’m afraid this won’t “buff out.”
