A long time customer of mine recently had Renewal by Andersen windows installed and she insists that the salesman and contractor have stated that bleach cannot be sprayed on the windows as it will damage them. Is this a real thing? I have only found where Andersen says not to use ammonia. I’ve washed hundreds of houses and have never had an issue. I’m thinking the salesman is confused and confusing ammonia and bleach or something. Just trying to get some more information before we wash her house again this year. Thanks!
I’ve done plenty of house washes with Andersen Renewal windows present. Those windows have a self cleaning coating on them, which can be more sensitive to some types of staining. I would just be careful not to let the solution dry on the glass, and rinse thoroughly.
