Received a call yesterday afternoon to provide an estimate on a 3 story older home in my area which has aluminum siding. I have personally not washed aluminum siding yet but the customer did say he was planning on getting it painted post house wash. Any advice regarding a needed technique To wash this or just regular DS house wash mix?
The color is going to run off. The ground around the house will have match the house. Get it in writing that the customer is ok with the color coming off the house. It should be fine if they are repainting it.

As chalky as that is I bet you see all the paint come off in some spots. I had it happen to me. I stopped showed the customer. I told her it would happen but when she saw it in person she had me stop. Real story I found out was she was trying to get the house power washed while husband was at work. He had been promising her to do it for years. Guess she got caught.

@Hsobaszek, I sell all my aluminum pw jobs as paint prep. Seeing bare metal afterwards is not uncommon.

These jobs now with us everything is documented, expectations set,
and property owner signed agreeing with expected outcome. If they
refuse to do this, we do not do the job.
