Have had some that are pretty old and having struggle used 10% concentrated. What’s your best why??
Are you using SH to try to remove oil?
Sh is for organic stains.
Also if im reading correct your saying the stain is “old”. Depending on how old its probably not going anywhere, the best you can do is lighten it up if you have heat and a degreaser. I dont mess with oil anymore, even after setting expectation customer is still disappointed.

My dad’s driveway had a thick black oil stain on it from my old 4Runner… It being my fault, I felt obliged to try a few different methods to clean up the oil stain. After pressure washing the entire driveway I made a couple passes with hot water from a kettle, dawn dish soap, and a stiff brush. It lightened it quite a bit. Finally, I put the cheapest cat litter I could find at walmart on the top and then wetted it with a watering can to soak it without washing it away.
I came back two days later and the spot was gone. Really gone. It was a pretty rudimentary process, but it worked for me.

Pretty cool stuff. Do you think this would work for people that are not happy with the results of their siding cleaning six months ago?

No. The only solution for that is doing it right the first time. The pressure washer should be educated on the different surfaces he should be cleaning. Not the homeowner. If you can’t get it right the first time, reschedule everything else until you do. If you lose money consider it an educational cost.

I know this is an old post, but I was screwing around waiting for my hvac guy and discovered something really cool:
So I was experimenting trying to get a gear oil stain out of my concrete that had been there for a year+ .. I poured straight ebc degreaser on it 3x with dwell time of 10-15 mins between each treatment. I used a scrub brush and brushed in a cross-hatching motion 1-2 times between each treatment. The first treatment yielded a brown residue in the soapy foam, but subsequent treatments did not. The stain was stubbornly unphased by the other treatments. I played around with the notion that maybe there were some organics entrained in the oil at a microbial level some how. So after these treatments and scrub downs, I sprayed straight SH on it from a pump sprayer. To my amazement, the stain is 80-90% gone!
After doing some research, it turns out there are actually microbes that break down oil over time into basic compounds and leave behind an organic residue that can evidently be cleaned with SH.
Moral of the story: if you have a stubborn oil stain try two-stepping it with degreaser and SH
I cant believe how well it worked on 20W 75 gear oil.

That’s basically Oil-Eaters marketing… pour their liquid on and it helps expedite the microbial process of the stain.
