My best to date, 97 points with the 416 Rigby I borrowed off Bluey.
My 303 wasn’t quite enough for these big guys.

That’s awesome! Great job to both. What do those taste like? Beef? Or, like everything else, chicken? I assume similar to the buffalo we have over here in the States?

Thanks @marinegrunt , they taste similar to beef but much leaner.
We only eat the young ones but the local aboriginals eat them all.
I hiked back in the next day with my recipro saw and got the horns which was quite a mission.

So do you just leave it laying?

Id never hunt something i wouldn’t eat. I love to hunt but im also a huge animal lover. I would love to come hunt one of those big boys with you. I have been dieing to go elk hunting. If you are unfamiliar with the animal. Watch a video of a huge elk bull calling

What caliber gun do you use to hunt those with?

I gotta agree with @Grizz on this one. Killing any animal just to kill it isn’t right in my mind. Maybe it’s just the Canadian in me but killing anything for no exact reason is sort of inhumane and pretty weird if you get any satisfaction out of doing so.

Locals took meat , too tough for my liking.

338 win mag and 416 Rigby.
6 shots to get my bull to stay down and 3 for my brothers.
If you are ever in Australia I will take u for a hunt.
We also culled some old scrub bulls(banteng cattle) that are messing up the breeding and quite a few boars.
Keep in mind that over here all the above are considered feral pests and do a good job at destroying waterholes etc.
I’m not bloodthirsty and only take trophy size.

You look nothing like Crocodile Dundee.

That wud be an awesome hunt. I respect open sights on those huge rifles. Rifle
Hunting is like playing a Video game.

PS… yalls counting is totally off, i see 2 Pts.

Ha ha yeah I’m not quite as weathered as old croc Dundee.
A fun part of our evening walk was while we stalked up on the last bull several younger males charged us out of paperback swamp 100m to our left, they aborted the charge halfway and started fighting each other much to our relief.
Kinda like a video game except sometimes you get killed for real.

Yeah, it wudnt take much for them to kill a person.

Thanks for sharing pics.
