AAA EW4040 Pump Question

Hey guys, I have a new Simpson pressure washer advertised to do 4400psi 4gpm. I hooked up my gauge and tried setting the unloader but the best I can get in order to stay within a 10% spike is 2,800psi. If I turn it any more it maxes out around 3,300psi with a spike of 4,200psi. Is this all the pump can do or is there something else I should be looking at? Thank you!

Check to be sure you have the correct nozzles, they should be about a ‘4’ to achieve 4000psi.

That being said you won’t really run across any jobs that require that pressure, concrete should be at 2500psi and you definitely won’t be using that much on wood or housewashes. GPM is more important than PSI. If you’re getting a confirmed 4gpm and 3200 psi, after 100’ of hose you’re golden.
