A crazy day

Had one of the craziest days ever at a job yesterday…

So I got to the job for a normal vinyl/drive way cleaning, pretty straightforward, I was there for about an hour doing my thing and then my garden hose burst, i had a backup but then that burst also. I ran to Ace Hardware, bought a new 50 ft flexzilla hose (mind you im just starting out so my budget is low, and my setup is bare minimum). Anyway I get that hose setup and get back to work…
The neighbor had a cactus out in there yard close to my clients house, I was backing up thinking I had all the room in the world and boom I fell straight back into the cactus.

Definitely painful, but more importantly just uncomfortable for the rest of the job, I also damaged the cactus and felt horrible!

Anyway I take a bunch of cactus needles of out of me and get back to work…

The clients wife gets home and then lets her dog out in the backyard, i had been on the roof as I was cleaning the gutters and got down, as I was walking back one of the clients dogs bit me. Or really nipped at me, but it still left a mark🙄.

Anyway, after that i just pressed on, got the house looking real good, the client got back and was super happy with the home and ended up giving me $60+ in a tip and said he’d give me a bunch of referrals.

Also side note: the neighbor whose cactus I broke… called me over to ask to give her a quote on her home! She didn’t care about the cactus and actually just laughed that I had fell on it in the first place.

Anyway I landed the job with her,

All in a days work folks.

Funny how that works. You’re having what you think is an absolute nightmare but the homeowner sees you’re doing your darndest and get several more jobs from it.

I’ve come to the conclusion most people just want to see you trying your best and not be lazy or cut corners.

Cooler heads prevail! It’s hard to remember that you’re being tested with SHTF like that. Im glad it paid off.
