A break from work

The wife and I planned our summer vacation a few months back. Ok, really the wife planned it all and I just made sure to not book any jobs for the week she told me not to :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Well, since this past Sunday afternoon we’ve been enjoying beautiful Sevierville, Tennessee. It is just about 20 minutes to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg for those familiar with the area. I must say that this area is absolutely beautiful with all its lush green mountain sides and wildlife. We’ve seen bear cubs, elk, turkey, deer and more in the few days we’ve been here and the kids are eating it all up. We’ve spent a few hours down in Pigeon Forge for a few attractions, but the most fun has been relaxing at the cabin we’re air-b’n’b-ing, driving through the Great Smokey Mtn Nat’l Park, and going to a local water hole to swim in. If y’all are looking for a family get-away, or even a couples get-away, throw this area into consideration!

Nice. Now get back to work. Stuff needs washing.

But seriously, nice to see your family having fun, great reward for your hard work. I am saving up for a winter vacation, that’s my slow time. If I can figure out how to include go karts into an all inclusive…

I’m just down the road from you. I recommend checking out the Bass Pro shop off exit 407 if that’s your thing. Enjoy the vacation!

That’s awesome. Got a good friend from TN that few up going to PF for family vacations and he loves it there. It’s on our list to visit someday.

Definitely not my slow time, but it was definitely nice to not be working out in 100+ degree temp days!

Just after that shot it started to rain over the cabin and then about five minutes after that a rainbow appeared right there in the valley. The picture I tried to take of that didn’t turn out well, but it was amazing.

I love that area - I asked my wife to marry me 32 years ago at Cades Cove. Glad you escaped the heat this past week! It’s important to take vacations, we work to live.
