Went and looked at a 9 story apt. building for a customer of mine today. They only want the back side of the building cleaned. So here’s the problem…The building is right on the street, It has powerlines running down the sidewalk, The first 3 floors stick off the building about 15ft. There is a flat surface on top of the 3 story roof that sticks out but how do I clean the 6 story’s above the 3. There’s no way I can get a lift over the powerlines. 40’ ladders? scaffolding? I have 8gpm x-jets etc… looks sketchy but I want to get my feet wet with a building higher than 3 story’s but not die in the process. Any input is greatly appreciated. Building is 300ft long 9 story’s high.
Sounds like scaffold build , probably cost prohibiting to just wash they might as well get it painted as well after wash while scaff is in place.
If get a quote on the insurance before I even thought about bidding it.
@Ajbrink 9 story’s? I got you.
Can you clean it from the top of the building. It should have tie off points. Definitely call your insurance companies
Skip it.
lmao!
I called my insurance agent. He’s going to get back to me in the morning. I’m going to try and post a video and some pics of the building later.
There are companies that specialize in buildings like that for cleanings/ window cleaning and painting.
They have special insurance
Special equipment
Special knowledge
The lift alone to do that job would be unavailable to you. Without a lift certificate.
I figured…Thanks for the info
