8 g.p.m and 18" surface cleaner

Is there any way to run a 18" hammerhead surface cleaner on an 8 g.p.m. machine without it taking off ( flying)
Ive got 25045 tips in the surface cleaner.
Thanks.

Start with this-- assuming that the spin bar for that 18" has 2 tips and the last 2 numbers your showing are 45’s that means 25 degrees at 9gpm which means using those tips will bring down your psi some but your 18 incher( John Holmes lives) would most likely still want to fly away. How big of tips do you have to work with? You may want to try a 40 degree tip @ 45’s or a 15-25 degree tip at 50-60(10-12 gpm).

what the best tip to use in a Whisper Wash Classic 3000 at 8gpm from yals experience?

Also, putting a 90% fitting in the surface cleaner will help a lot

What size deck is that whisper wash?

The Classic is. 19".

The 90* helped alot. The back end of the surface cleaner still wanted to come off the ground. Bob suggested put a baseball bat weight over the swivel. I looked at to stores and couldn’t find on large enough. Right now Ive got a 5 pound plate weight bolted to the back end of the hammerhead and works fine now!

If that was Bob from PTState that suggested that you cant go wrong. Bobs got a unique background in this industry— he was born into it. How’s that for experience;)

sorry for the double post and the great spelling! Maybe that’s why I spray water for a living and don’t compete in spelling contest’s. Hate typing on this damn phone.

Bob’s the Man … He is the one who told me about putting a 90 on the fitting … I have a 5 pound barbell weight laying on the top through the fitting and hose … it keeps my 20" hammerhead on the ground … To bad your not closer I would trade you one of my 20" hammerheads for your 18" for my 5 gpm machine
