7 gpm fat boy 12 volt pump

Pics of your setup are always helpful. Could be something simple that you’re overlooking

Good idea

All 1/2 inch feed line going to 5/8 on my hose reel

Ideally all your valves would be the same. The only thing you change is the barb to a 1/4 going into soap. 1/2 metered down will work also, but there is no advantage to a choked down 1/2 soap line.

See my answer in the other post.

What post is that @Racer

That’s not a fat boy pump? Says delavan. You sure it’s a 7gpm? If it’s 5gpm that would help explain the shorter distance. But 20 ft is still short, even for a 5gpm. If you can, order another pump and throw it on. Maybe that pump is just faulty. It’s a good idea to have a spare anyway

Your right a Delavan 7gpm Fb2 is the name of the pump

No my water line does not have a meter on it

You’re not going to get 50’ unless you’re standing on a roof shooting down. At best you’ll get 40 and most likely 35 ish. Don’t use the M5 on it for distance. Long distance not a m5’s strength. The best thing that you and @Atlas1 can do is switch the end of your hose with an adaptor that you can get anywhere to convert it a male garden hose end. That way you can use all kinds of nozzles. The cheap Gilmor nozzles work great for 4-5 jobs. The best one for distance is the Ace $2.95 . It looks similar to this w/o the valve and it’s red

Thank you @Racer for that tip… I will give that a try and for the cost it is well worth it… I did have quite a bit of volume just not much distance… if I had to guess I was shooting around the 25 foot mark… give or take

If I go to shop tomorrow, I’ll take a pic of all the nozzles I have.

@Racer is it possible to downstream soap and bleach with batch mixing

Have had one for 5 years. Main one I use, for post treating and odds and ends. Doesn’t shoot the further tho. I like it though because if you drop it, won’t break. My very first nozzle and I still have it.
What I don’t like about it is you can’t shoot a flat spray with it.

@Racer don’t you use 5/8 hose

You could, but that would be weak DS mix if you’re pulling out of say a batch of 4% mix for doing a roof. Don’t batch mix. With all the mixing valves you can get now, you’re better off doing that.

Ok I just need to finesse a lil more distance out of this 12v

1/2" on 12v system. See my comments above. On my gas one, I run 5/8, because it’s got 11gpm flow

Thank you all for your input… us new guys need all the help we can get… again each one teach one… be safe and spray away
