That’s it. I just changed the fuel filter out every week. I eventually stopped.
They are plastic tanks. I think it is the inside coating that was the issue. It was really flaky like your skin when it peels after a sunburn.
Like I said, you have to take the tank off, empty it and clean it good. I just rinsed it out and wished I had done something of an alcohol or acetone wash as even now, I can see a few pieces in the fuel filter. I have had one instance since then that I had to change the filter due to clogging.
I willing to bet it’s fiberglass reenforced plastic.
