30 hp Generac any good?

Hey all, I found a 30 hp generac locally for a good price, but it is propane powered. I found a gas conversion kit, but just wandering if anyone has any experience with these. It also has a tapered shaft so is there any way to work around that? Model engine is gt990

As told by the generac installer himself… don’t buy a generac, you can fix it for 2 years and then they stop making parts

I’ve had the exact opposite experience with them, I bought a 20 year old standby generator off Craigslist that needed motor work, and other than waiting for shipping, every was available through generac, and this was only a few months ago.

Thanks guys for the input. Anyone else have any input? Its about 30 hp for $300, so I dont want to pass it up if it’s not going to die on me for a year or more.
